Mardi Gras 2010

During Mardi Gras tons of Christians come to do evangelism, most handout tracts and others carry signs. The signs vary from "Jesus loves you", to "God hates you" Yeah, you see it all, a few carry crosses and others have prayer stations. Fortunately, the YWAMers who come and volunteer with us tend more towards "friendship evangelism". For example this year, they paid for cabs to help drunk people get home, hotels for homeless, they engaged in long conversations with street people and found ways to help and serve them. All this stands in stark contrast to the Christians who are screaming at people with signs reading "WWJD: Who would Jesus Destroy".

Year after year, you find this funny site in the Jackson Square. Yeah, on the right is a man holding a boom box blaring a turn or burn sermon, and on the left is a catholic man with a blow horn saying "bla... Bla... Bla... Stop the hate....bla... Bla... Bla... There is already enough religious extremist in the world... Bla... Bla... bla...
